This is a town where I could probably kill 200 major careers if I wanted to be a complete prick… there is more smoke in DC closets than there is sex.
– Allen St. Pierre, executive director of NORML (Washingtonian Magazine)
These magazine spreads and cover design are a re-designed mockup for a Washingtonian article. The article focuses on marijuana use among people in the professional and political sectors in Washington, D.C. Instead of using the cliché types of imagery that are usually paired with stories about pot, I combined items that are usually associated with “class” and the chemical structure of THC (the main psychoactive cannabinoid in marijuana.) It conveys the message that, in D.C., “high society” and marijuana use are not mutually exclusive.
